The “Classic” race is the exact re-enactment of the event that has been held for almost three decades with great success and ALL its characteristics are re-enacted in the way that made it famous in the world: 6 stages with two routes (GranGiro and MedioGiro); every day the first three at the finish line (Men and Women) in the two routes are awarded, and the leaders of the general classifications wear the Yellow Jersey (GranGiro) and Pink Jersey (MedioGiro).
In 2025, those who choose to register for the “Classic” road race do so following the rules and classifications of the Italian body knowing that only athletes from amateur categories participate in the race.
The “Classic” registration is free and individual: it must be done by 02/28/2025 online on the website www.girosardegna.it or with an individual/collective paper form.
ATTENTION: As of April 26, the registered participant must have a cycling license (Italian or foreign) and be in order with the competitive medical certificate. Those who are not registered with a Sports Society can ask to join the ASD Mare e Monti that organizes the event, sending an adequate medical certificate by 04/16/2025.
