The route is fast in its first part and could be a stage suitable for long distance riders who want to attempt escapes, but the undertaking will be difficult given the presence of the long climb halfway through the route that will certainly determine significant gaps.
THE ROUTE: The GranGiro will probably do the first part of the stage relatively calmly at least until, after passing the town of Murta Maria and the refreshment point (km 40), it encounters the first climb of a certain difficulty that leads to the town of Padru where the route division is located (km 48). The GranGiro goes to do, in outward/return direction (be careful not to cut the curves when going down!) the climb that leads to the Sos Pantamos spring where there is a water point (km 57). Once back in Padru, the cyclists return to the common route, turning right and returning towards the sea with a very fast descent that takes them back to the SS125 where they retrace the roundabouts of San Teodoro in reverse to finally reach the finish line in front of the main hotel.
