Varied, beautiful and challenging route that develops inside on roads without traffic: it will certainly be one of the decisive stages of the GiroSardegna 2025! The initial part is an approach to the long and continuous climb that runs along the River and Lake Posada leading up to the 600 meters of altitude of Alà dei Sardi followed by a long downhill/flat stretch that could favor the recoveries that can take place up to the finish line located right in front of the main hotel of the GiroSardegna. The experience of other years tells us that the final positions will be fought over in small groups.
THE COURSE: The starting grids are placed in front of the hotels and the start will be at a controlled speed until passing the center of Budoni then the race begins going south and turning into the SP67 of the valley of the Posada River and Lake Posada.
At the height of the few houses of Concas, the climb begins continuously until the route division (km 45): the GranGiro continues to climb going to the outskirts of Alà dei Sardi to meet the SS389 which it leaves immediately after to enter the SP24 where it finds the refreshment point (km 62) and the common route.
From that point the road is essentially downhill until reaching the town of Padru (km 80) from where the final part of the previous day is repeated exactly (you return towards the sea with the very fast descent that brings you back to the SS125 and you skirt the town of San Teodoro); finally the finish line placed in front of the main hotel.
